Frequently Asked Questions:
What is the Day31 Haunt?
The Day31 Haunted House is a haunted attraction located at
the private residence of the Comstock family in Temecula,
California. We invite you as guests of ours to experience our
haunted attraction. By choosing to visit our home, we ask that
you follow all Haunt rules and respect the time and money we
put into creating Day31.
Is there an admission fee?
As long as the location of Day31 remains at a private residence,
we will not require a monetary admission fee. We will,
however, be accepting donations to help offset the huge
expense of putting on this event and help it grow in the future.
We are always open to creating sponsorship opportunities from
individuals or businesses who would like to donate goods or
services to the haunt or its volunteers in exchange for website
exposure.
This looks like fun. Can I volunteer to help?
Yes, if you are interested in helping out, check out our Staff
page. Burial plots are still available for all facets of the Day31
Crew. As the Haunt grows, so do its needs. No fancy prop will
ever be an adequate substitute for a live actor, and many new
faces helped make last year's event one of the best haunts in the
Valley. Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older and be
willing to make safety their number one priority. Having a great
time is a very close second. Yes, you can bring a friend or
friends and work as a team and your creativity and input are
welcome.
Is there an age restriction?
It will be left to the discretion of parents to decide whether
Day31 is an appropriate experience for their younger children.
All children are unique, and mom and dad know their children
best. No children under 12 will be admitted without a parent or
adult guardian present. Day31 is meant to be a fun experience
for all guests and is intended to celebrate the spirit of Halloween
and our innate fascination with things that invoke fear.
Subjecting a child to an experience against their will that may
cause psychological trauma and/or nightmares is NOT what
Day31 is about and is highly discouraged.
Where is Day31 located?
The Day31 Haunted Attraction is located at 39386 Canyon Rim
Circle in Temecula, CA. We are only a short distance from the
Promenade Mall.
What an unusual hobby, are you crazy or
weird?
The answer to both questions is definitely.
How much does all this cost?
Don't ask.
I have a question or suggestion!
Great! Email me.
How long does this take to set up?
Elements of the Day31 Haunt are planned and worked on all
year long, but in 2011 the physical work began in August. The
tear down is done in various stages and will generally take about
1 month to reach completion. Follow the progress of the haunt
build by following Day31 on Facebook or Twitter.
What types of jobs are available for
volunteers?
What do you like to do? Whether you prefer to be the center of
attention "acting" out a role in the haunt, or triggering scares
from behind walls as a "Lurker" seems like it better suits you,
there is probably a place for you on the Day31 team.
Why Do you Haunt?
The haunt is a labor of love, not only for the Halloween
holiday, but also for the creative process that goes into making it
a reality. I have always loved the holiday of Halloween, and
when I got too old to trick or treat I had to find other ways to
remain a "Halloweenie".
